On September 4, 2026, a Free Medical Clinic was successfully conducted in Farkawn, Champhai District, providing much-needed healthcare services to the local community.
The clinic began at 8:00 a.m. and continued until 8:00 p.m., during which a total of 653 patients received medical consultations and treatment. Many of those who attended were individuals and families facing financial hardships, making it difficult for them to access healthcare services elsewhere. Among the children examined, dental problems were particularly common, with a significant number requiring dental care and treatment.
The Village Council of Farkawn generously arranged food, refreshments, and accommodation for the medical team, ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. The Mizo Students’ Union (MSU) and the Young Mizo Association (YMA) also extended invaluable support and volunteered wholeheartedly throughout the programme.
We express our sincere gratitude to the Village Council, MSU, YMA, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and all who contributed to making this outreach a success. Their collective efforts helped bring essential medical care and hope to hundreds of people in the community.
