We visited Ephatha Special School for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing in College Veng, Aizawl, which provides care and education for deaf and hard-of-hearing children. We had a very enjoyable and meaningful time there.
The school currently has 10 staff members and 32 students. Along with their regular studies, the students take part in sports and are also taught various skills, including sewing and different kinds of handicrafts.
We discussed different ways in which we could work together, as well as how we could support and take further initiatives for students who face greater challenges. We found the interaction very encouraging and inspiring.
As a gesture of gratitude, the students demonstrated their various talents and skills. Their performances were truly impressive and deeply touched our hearts.
As part of their society's activities, they also hold a Worship Service every Sunday at the premises below Ramhlun East Presbyterian Church. Anyone who wishes to attend is welcome to join.
