Following the case we reported on August 27, 2026, the three girls who were living with a mother struggling with drug addiction and neglect have now been admitted to a children's home through the intervention of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC).
Efforts were also made to place their father in a rehabilitation home; however, he declined assistance. It was learned that he and his wife had been living apart for a long period of time.
The children's grandmother continues to live in her own home. Having spent many years caring for and raising her grandchildren as a widow, she is deeply heartbroken by the situation and is not yet in a position to consider other arrangements.
No one wishes to see children placed in institutional care because of family difficulties and neglect. It is a painful reality for everyone involved. Nevertheless, we remain hopeful that, by God's grace, these children will find healing, stability, and opportunities to build a brighter future. We continue to pray and work toward what is best for them.
